Suggested method of using Cyclist Erik

The best way for creating a tour is by using a route planner, optimized for cycling and able to export the information in a GPX file.
For the Netherlands you can use Routeplanner Fietsersbond

You can also use a simple text file as a tour description created with Notepad.
The easiest way to do this is on your desktop.
Keep in mind that the tour description must be readable on a mobile device.
So keep texts to a minimum.

This can be done with the aid of a USB cable.
Make sure both the desktop and the mobile device are on.
Connect them with a USB cable.
On your desktop a File Explorer window should pop up starting at the root of the folders of your mobile device.
If not, start File Explorer manually. Your mobile device should appear under 'This PC'.
Select either your Phone folder or your SD card and go to the Documents folder.
Copy the guide file (GPX) or the tour file (TXT) from your desktop to this Documents folder.

  • Select the Guides menu
  • Click on the Import button at the bottom.
  • Locate the guide description that you have stored in the previous action and open it. The guide is now copied and is shown in the list of guides.

  • Select the Tours menu

You're ready to go.

While you are cycling you'll see a lot of useful information like speed, distance, direction and of course your position on the map relative to the waypoints.
You can switch between different layouts of the information with speech commands like 'guide' and 'map'.
Using speech means that you can switch handsfree for safe cycling.

You can view a recording of your cycling tour.
Select the Recordings menu
Select a recording by double tapping it.
Note: you cannot view today's recording. If you want to do that
upload it first and use the External button.
You will see a list of time, coordinates, speed and heading.
